I've been taking a little break from the blog this weekend as I've had some friends over from Scotland. We've had a lovely time doing all the tourist things in Dublin and the sun has been shining every day. As my friends have now gone home I decided it was about time that I went to see the Sex and the City movie.
I'm not going to say anything about the movie as I don't want to ruin it for anyone yet to see it. I was inspired though to throw together a classic Carrie outfit and decided on the one that we have all seen many, many times.
I heard Patricia Field say that Carrie's tutu that is used in the opening credits was bought for a few dollars in a vintage shop. She also said she chose this outfit as it wouldn't date as the series progressed.
I've been looking for a tutu since I first saw the show and I only found this one recently in H&M's kids section. I'm in the process of thinking up other ways to wear it and I'm sure it will be included in many more posts in the future, for now this is my take on the Carrie classic.

As much as ppl criticise that outfit, I do think it is has become a rather iconic image...
