I've been totally neglecting the blog recently as there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day!This outfit pic has been sitting on the laptop for a few weeks and I have kept forgetting to put it up.
This picture was taken at Edinburgh Zoo when I visited with some friends. I wore my furry jacket firstly because it was cold but also because Edinburgh Zoo is the only zoo in Britain to have a polar bear (is it weird to dress like an animal for the day?).
Polar bears are most definitely my favorite animal and it's been a dream of mine since I was a child to photograph them in the wild. At the moment thats a bit expensive so I have to make do with going to see Mercedes (the polar bear) at the zoo.
I know that some people feel that zoo's are very cruel and I know that they are not ideal but Mercedes was rescued from being put to sleep in Canada when she was quite young. She had started to hang around towns and was becoming a danger to the people who lived there. With help from the Mercedes car company (hence her name) she was brought to Edinburgh were I know she gets all the love and care everyone at the zoo can give her.
Anyway I really love to go and visit her she truly fascinates me, I just hope that by the time I can afford to visit polar bears in the wild that they are still around to be seen.
