My trip to Liverpool at the weekend was great fun. It's somewhere I've always wanted to go and it certainly didn't disappoint. My friends who live down there have told me that loads of money has recently been spent moving and modernising the city center but as I'd never been there before I can't really comment on whether its better or not. The choice of shops however is amazing, especially when you come from a city like Edinburgh which is still missing quite a lot of the larger chains that you find on most high streets.
I didn't spend to much time shopping as I was doing the tourist rounds and stopping in many pubs but I did visit the new Topshop (and had to stop myself from spending in the shoe lounge) which is huge compared to the one here. I also walked in the door at Primark and then walked straight back out again! It was way to busy, people pushing everywhere, we don't have one in Edinburgh yet (think it's on it's way though) but even for stuff I can't get here I value my sanity to much.
I'm going to try and head back down again very soon as I'd really like to visit the Tate, and my friend said she'd show me the smaller shops that you don't get anywhere else. Maybe I'll head down to do my Christmas shopping this year instead of going to Glasgow.
What I'm wearing seeing the sites in Liverpool - Cardigan- Topshop, T-shirt- Neurotica Topshop, Shorts- River Island, Boots- Emma Cook for Topshop, Bag- Balenciaga.
