Goodbye Summer.

Sorting through my picture from this summer I realised I had lots of lovely outfit posts that I have been to busy to put up. So as a bit of a farewell to these lovely long hot days I have put on of my favourites up. I wore this to a wedding back at the start of September which took place at Sir Walter Scott's house Abbotsford in the borders. It looks here like the dress is far to long for me but I had sunk slightly in the gravel with my high heels on, when I'm standing on flat ground it is the perfect length. 

So it's goodbye to the summer and hello to all the A/W trends which I have been looking forward to for months. Can't wait to get the thick socks out, the hats, gloves and big woolly jumpers. I'll be doing a bit of shopping this weekend to stock up on all things warm.

Challenge Fail.

Well I've been a pretty shit blogger over the past few months. My challenge was a bit of a disaster as I started enjoying summer to much and just forgot to take photos. I did wear a different outfit everyday and I didn't shop at all which is quite an achievement for me but still over all it was a fail as I didn't document like I promised. I've been meaning to put up the remaining photo's that I did get for ages now and I've finally got round to it tonight after a cinema trip was cancelled at the last minute. So here are the other 4 photo's that I took, very poor I know and I've slapped myself on the wrist and told myself I must do better next time!

Day 7 and 8.

More work outfits as that's the only place I really go through the week. I've been trying to mix it up a bit but I continuously find myself reaching for my black trousers when I wake up in the morning. I guess it's just easy and to be honest my mind doesn't work to great when I first wake up.

Outfit 1, Tuesday work - Cardigan- Primark, Top- H & M, Trousers- Topshop, Shoes- Topshop, Bag- Warehouse, Belt- Topshop.

Outfit 2, Wednesday work - Jumper- Topshop, Skirt- Handmade by me, Boots- River Island.   

 

Day 3, 4 and 6.

Unfortunately this weekend I forgot to take a picture of my Sunday outfit so you'll need to take my word for it that I was wearing denim shorts a t-shirt and my converse trainers. It's been so uncharacteristically warm the last few days that on Sunday my brain melted and I forgot I even had a blog!    

Here's a run down of the outfit's I did photograph over the weekend.

Top Right, Friday night - Dress- Barbara Hulanicki for Topshop, Bag- Topshop, Leggings- Marks and Spencer, Shoes- Carvela.

Bottom Left, Saturday - Dress- H & M Trend, Denim Jacket with no sleeves- Topshop, Bag- Topshop, Necklace- Primark, Sunglasses- Topshop.

Bottom Right, Monday work- Dress- Gap, Cardigan- Vila (bought in little shop in my home town), Leggings- Marks and Spencer, Boots- Topshop.      

Day 2.

Bit of a dull outfit today as I slept in and pretty much put the first thing on I could find that would be suitable for work. I'm not going to be able to this for much longer as I'll start to get outfit repeats and we can't have that!

I've got a really hectic weekend coming up so I'll do my best to post my outfit everyday but if I don't manage I'll put them all up as soon as I can.

Just looking at how bad my roots are so thank goodness they are getting done on Saturday.

Anyway enough rambling today's outfit consists of

Cardigan- H & M Trend, Top- H & M, Trousers- Topshop, Boots- Topshop.   

Day 1.

First day of my outfit challenge and my shopping ban and all is going well so far. I managed to stop myself from buying anything at the Gap event but it was a close call as a cute little denim jacket had my name on it!

I'm thinking that the hardest part of my challenge is going to be my work outfit's during the week as I need to try and at least look a little bit officey (is that a word) and I tend to wear the same things quite a lot. Oh well they don't call something a challenge for nothing!

Day 1 Outfits.

Outfit 1 for work - Jumper- Levis, Skirt- Urban Outfitters, Boots- River Island.

Outfit 2 for Gap shopping event - Parka- Topshop, Vest- Topshop Boutique, Trousers- Gap, Boots- Topshop.

Costa Del Portobello.

Well there was me saying the other day that spring is almost here and suddenly a few days later it's almost summer! The weather here at the weekend was truly beautiful so we took a little trip to the beach before going to a friends barbecue. I couldn't believe that there were actually people sun bathing on the beach in April in Scotland. Didn't see anyone in the sea though, I'm guessing that would have been a step to far!

Spring is springing.

So spring is almost here in Scotland but it definitely necessary to still wrap up warm. The weather really can change at any moment with beautiful sunshine one minute and driving rain the next. I find the best plan of attack for the unpredictability of it all is to layer up to the max. However I am still caught out on a regular basis, arriving home freezing and dripping like a drowned rat. In all my years I've still to find the perfect solution.

I'm a little bit late in posting these pictures, I'm going to blame my dressmaking class as I've been running around doing stuff for that. Anyway these were taken on Saturday which was ofcourse Halloween. I hadn't really had time to find a costume this year and my boyfriends mum was here to take us to dinner, that made me feel I shouldn't go to crazy so in the end I just kinda vamped it up a little. This was the first outing for my Christopher Kane for Topshop dress. It's been sitting patiently waiting for the perfect time for me to wear it and with lots of back combing of my hair, black eyeliner and dark lipstick it felt right for the occasion of dinner and Halloween all in one.

Leopard Tails

This Barbara Hulanicki for Topshopdress always makes me happy when I wear it so when I was rushing to get ready last night it was the obvious thing to throw on. Over the summer this dress became a favorite and I'm glad I'll be able to continue to wear it through the winter. It's sad when something you love can't be worn any more just because the weather gets colder.

Last week I was talking about my trip to view H&M'snew trend section in Edinburgh and that I would show you any purchases. Well unfortunately nothing was purchased this time as everything I liked was already sold out in my size. Not to worry though as now it's here I can visit it any time and I'm sure it won't be long before I do get something. On another note I finally bought the shoes this morning so they will be making an appearance here very soon.
